Delete Account / Data
Important: Deleting your account will permanently remove all your data, including analysis history, preferences, and account information. This action cannot be undone. You are solely responsible for ensuring you have backed up any data you wish to retain before proceeding with account deletion.
Account Types and Deletion
Anonymous Accounts: When you first open NailGlow AI, an anonymous user ID is automatically created through Supabase. If you don't sign in with Google or Apple, your account remains anonymous and may be subject to automatic deletion.
Protected Accounts: If you sign in with Google or Apple, your account becomes protected and will not be automatically deleted due to inactivity. However, you can still manually delete these accounts at any time.
Delete Account Through the App
The easiest way to delete your account is directly through the NailGlow AI app:
Step 1: Open the NailGlow AI app on your device.
Step 2: Navigate to the "Me" section or Settings menu.
Step 3: Tap on "Delete My Account" or "Delete Account and Data" if available in the app.
Step 4: Read the confirmation message carefully, as this action is permanent.
Step 5: Confirm the deletion by tapping "Delete" or "Confirm".
Once confirmed, your account and all associated data will be processed for deletion from our servers. You will lose access to any premium features, analysis history, and saved preferences.
Web-Based Deletion Request
If you prefer to request account deletion through this website:
Step 1: Open the NailGlow AI app and go to the "Me" section.
Step 2: Copy your User ID displayed in the "Me" section.
Step 3: Visit this page (nailglowai.iappstudio.space/delete-account) and submit a deletion request with your User ID.
Step 4: We will process your deletion request subject to our operational procedures and verification requirements.
Automatic Account Deletion
Anonymous Accounts: Anonymous accounts that have no active subscription and show no activity for 90 consecutive days will be automatically scheduled for deletion. This includes accounts that have never been used or have been inactive for an extended period.
Activity Definition: Activity includes opening the app, using features, uploading photos for analysis, or any interaction with our services. Accounts with active subscriptions are not subject to automatic deletion regardless of usage.
No Notification: We do not send notifications before automatically deleting inactive anonymous accounts. Users are responsible for maintaining their accounts if they wish to retain data.
Google/Apple Accounts: Accounts created using Google or Apple sign-in are protected from automatic deletion and will only be deleted upon manual request by the user.
App Deletion: If you delete the NailGlow AI app from your device, your anonymous account may become subject to automatic deletion after 90 days of inactivity, as we have no way to track your intent to return.
If You've Already Deleted the App
If you've already deleted the NailGlow AI app from your device but want to ensure your data is removed from our servers, you can still request account deletion:
Email Option: Send an email to iappdevstudio@gmail.com with the subject line "Account Deletion Request".
User ID Method: If you remember your User ID from the "Me" section of the app, include it in your deletion request for faster processing.
Information to Include: When requesting deletion via email, please provide any information that might help us locate your account, such as:
• Your User ID (if available from the app's "Me" section)
• The email address you used to sign in (if you used Google or Apple sign-in)
• Approximate date when you last used the app
• Any subscription information if you had a premium account
• Device type (iPhone, Android) you used
Even if you can't remember specific details, we can still help locate and delete your account. We will make reasonable efforts to confirm the deletion via email once it's complete, subject to our operational procedures and available resources.
What Gets Deleted
When you delete your account, the following information is permanently removed:
Account Data: Your user profile, preferences, settings, and any account identifiers.
Analysis History: Records of previous nail analyses, recommendations, and any saved results.
Usage Data: Your personal usage patterns and app interaction history (anonymized usage data for app improvement may be retained).
Subscription Information: Our records of your subscription status (note that app store subscription records are managed separately by Apple or Google).
Photos: When you delete your account, any photos you have uploaded will also be permanently deleted from our servers. If you wish to delete individual photos without deleting your entire account, please contact our support team at iappdevstudio@gmail.com to request deletion.
What Happens to Subscriptions
Active Subscriptions: Deleting your NailGlow AI account does not automatically cancel subscriptions purchased through the app store. You will need to cancel your subscription separately through your Apple App Store or Google Play Store account settings.
Subscription Access: If you delete your account but have an active subscription, you will lose access to premium features immediately, even if your subscription period hasn't ended.
Refunds: Account deletion does not automatically trigger refunds. If you want to request a refund for recent subscription charges, you'll need to contact the app store directly (Apple or Google) as they handle all billing and refunds.
After Deletion
Confirmation: You may receive confirmation that your account has been deleted, either through the app (for in-app deletions) or via email (for web form or email requests), subject to our operational procedures and technical capabilities.
Re-creating Accounts: After deletion, you can create a new account at any time by downloading the app again. However, this will be treated as a completely new account with no connection to your previous data.
Data Recovery: Once deleted, your data cannot be recovered under any circumstances. We do not maintain backups of deleted user accounts. You are solely responsible for ensuring you understand the permanent nature of this action before proceeding.
Account deletion is provided as a service to users, but we do not guarantee immediate processing or specific timelines. Users are responsible for understanding the consequences of account deletion and ensuring they have saved any important data before proceeding.
